Haley Quillen – Owner & Office Manager

I am the proud wife and co-owner of Rocky Top with my husband, Matt. I serve as the Office Manager for the clinic and I am also a Family Nurse Practitioner here in town. Needless to say, my days are busy! Matt and I have three beautiful boys and sports have become a daily essential. We have 1 dog, Sullivan aka “Sully”, who is a growing Golden Retriever and we also have a guinea pig, Charlie. Between the animals and Matt, they have molded our boys into absolute animal lovers! Although my career is with human medicine, I share a strong passion for animals. I’m very honored to say that we’ve created a successful veterinary clinic and provide quality care to furry ones all around on a daily basis!

Stephanie Lewis – Clinic Director & Veterinary Assistant

Since the clinic doors opened in August 2011, Stephanie has been a familiar face around the clinic! In 2014 Stephanie was promoted to our Clinic Director, which is a fancy way of saying she takes care of most everything! Whether she is greeting clients and discussing the needs of their pets, working alongside our doctors to treat our patients, or doing follow-ups with our clients to check on their pets after treatment, Stephanie is always incredibly involved each step of the way.

Stephanie graduated from Berea College in 2007 with a Bachelors Degree in Animal Science, and she has been working with Dr. Quillen since he became a Veterinarian!

In her time outside the clinic, Stephanie can be found spending time with her husband Keith, her two sons Silar and Lawson, and her sweet furbabies Saki & Sushi! To say she is outnumbered by boys at home would be quite the understatement! The boys keep her on the go as well. Stephanie and her family can be found at a baseball field, basketball court, or any sports activity. Stephanie is also an avid reader, and she enjoys a quiet moment with her books for relaxation any chance she can get.

Stephanie enjoys managing the day-to-day operations of our clinic, loving on all the adorable pets that come through each day, and brainstorming new ways to reach new clients in our area. Because of her large heart for animals, we have a building full of clinic cats who believe Stephanie is their momma! We all agree that finding someone with a larger heart for animals than Stephanie would be nearly impossible to find.

Sayde Sutherland – Veterinary Technician

Meet Sayde! Sayde joined our Rocky Top family as a volunteer while she was attending Chuckey-Doak High School. After a short time, Sayde became a part-time employee as she finished both her high school and college careers. After graduating from Lincoln Memorial University with an Associates in Veterinary Medical Technology, Sayde became a full-time employee, and she continues to be a huge asset to our team.

Sayde is our lead surgical technician, and she spends most of her days assisting Dr. Neas with spays, neuters, mass removals, dental cleanings, and other specialized surgical procedures. Outside of surgery, Sayde assists our doctors with patient care and diagnostics, in-house hospitalization, and often cares for our boarding patients as well. Sayde also manages our laboratory equipment, ensuring all machines are clean and correctly performing each day. She spends any free moment she has with our clinic cats, and we believe they are more spoiled than ever because Sayde constantly gives them an incredible amount of attention, treats, and toys!

In her time outside the clinic, Sayde enjoys spending time with her friends and family, all her furbabies, getting coffee, and shopping.

Sayde loves meeting all the pets who come to our clinic, and she can be found in the floor loving them and taking pictures at any given moment! Sayde also loves the family atmosphere at Rocky Top and the close friendships she has formed with other employees along the way. With her determination and knowledge, we are certain to see lots of big things from Sayde in the future and we hope to have her here with us for many years to come!.

Kristina Morgan – Veterinary Assistant

As a high school student, Kristina took the initiative to join our Rocky Top family. Now a college graduate from Lincoln Memorial University, Kristina is a full-time employee at Rocky Top! Kristina feels that Rocky Top is her home away from home as she has quite literally grown up in this clinic!

Whether she is greeting our clients and discussing the needs of their pets, assisting with the diagnostics and treatments of the pets once they are inside our clinic, or tending to and loving on our boarding pets over the weekends, Kristina has mastered every position in our clinic and performs each with such positivity. Kristina has also formed close bonds with many of our regular boarding patients, and she enjoys getting to know their families as well.

In her time away from the clinic, Kristina enjoys spending time with her husband Jonathon, her family, loving on her furbabies Tucker, Jeffery, and Penny, sharing quality conversation with her friends, and getting coffee! In the warmer months, Kristina spends as much time as she can soaking up the sun at her family pool or taking an adventurous ride on her ATV.

Kristina’s favorite part of working at Rocky Top is assisting in successful treatments of sick patients and seeing the joy their families feel when their pets can go home. We expect to see many big things in Kristina’s future, and we are honored to have her as a part of our Rocky Top family!

Mary Benko – Receptionist

Mary has been a part of the veterinary industry for nearly 10 years. She served as the primary receptionist at another local clinic until it closed in 2021, then she joined our Rocky Top family in the Spring of 2022. Mary brings a wealth of knowledge, humor, and personality to our growing clinic, and we are so happy to have her here!
Although Mary does not have any furbabies of her own, she enjoys loving on the patients in our clinic and spoiling them before she sends them back to their owners! Mary would love to meet you and your pets at your next visit to our hospital. Outside of the clinic Mary enjoys spending time with her beau Jeff and their son Logan, playing golf, watching sports (especially the LA Kings hockey team), and catering for special events.

Liz Green – Veterinary Assistant

Liz became a part of the Rocky Top family when we first opened in 2011. After working with us for quite some time, Liz then moved out of state and furthered her veterinary industry knowledge in other clinics, animal shelters, and boarding/training facilities. In 2021, Liz returned to Rocky Top and we hope to have her here for many years to come! Liz is passionate about preventive care for our patients, and she also enjoys being in surgery a few days a week. Outside of the clinic, Liz enjoys spending time with her boyfriend Jeremy, their dog Duckie, her friends and family. She also like being outdoors, on the water, and gardening. When the weather doesn’t’ cooperate, she enjoys puzzles and sewing.

Jerri - Groomer

Hi! I’m Jerri, the groomer here at Rocky Top. I have always wanted to work with animals since I was a kid. I’ve been grooming for nearly 20 years now…and most days I love it as much now as I did in the beginning!

It’s not like most jobs because each animal has their own personality. This makes for never a dull moment! I am comfortable with any kind of groom, specific cuts, or trims. My kind of grooming includes multiple services, such as bathing, grooming, shaving if needed, nail trim, anal gland expression, and ear plucking.

If I come across an issue with the animal, i.e., rashes or lesions, I’ll make sure to bring it to a vet’s attention so proper care can be immediately initiated, if the owner chooses to do so. I take pride in my work and make sure the animals and owners are happy when they leave the clinic! I am always accepting new patients. Give us a call and make your appointment today!
